How to Use
Measure room dimensions including ceiling height. Subtract areas for doors and windows. The calculator determines sheets needed, joint compound, tape, and screws required. Account for waste and breakage in your order.
Tips & Tricks
Store drywall flat and dry before installation. Use longer sheets to minimize joints. Plan layout to avoid small pieces. Pre-cut openings for outlets and switches. Allow proper drying time between joint compound coats. Sand lightly between coats for smooth finish.
Safety Notes
Drywall sheets are heavy - get help with installation. Wear dust mask when sanding joint compound. Use proper lifting techniques to avoid injury. Ensure adequate lighting for quality installation. Be careful with utility knives - use sharp blades and proper technique.
